Vista coal mine
Report summary
Vista is a bituminous thermal coal mine in the Foothills region of the Canadian Rockies sponsored by Coalspur, owned by Cline Group. The mine began construction in 2017 and produced its first train in May 2019. The operation is a truck and shovel mine. We estimate the mine produced 6 Mt in 2024. All production from the mine will be sold in seaborne markets, primarily to South Korean and Japanese utilities.
