2023 CCUS fundamentals: subsurface storage of carbon
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Carbon, capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) is critical to the energy transition. In this insight, we focus on the basics of subsurface storage of CO2. Upon completion, readers should have a better understanding of the options available for storage (namely, depleted fields and saline aquifers), subsurface conditions favorable to the underground storage of CO2, as well as the associated risks and the importance of measurement, monitoring and verification (MMV). This is a revision of our initial CCUS fundamentals report, released in 2022.
