Turkey energy markets outlook 2013 - power
Report summary
Hydro generation capacity has increased by 2.47 GW year on year in 2012, compared to the forecast of 764 MW last year. Turkish electricity demand increased to 241.8 TWh in 2012, driven by growth in residential and industrial sectors. In 2012, gas dominated the generation mix, accounting for 36% of capacity, followed closely by hydro power (34%).
