Report summary

The UAE is currently ramping up its LNG imports to alleviate gas shortages. The country is however diversifying away from natural gas with Abu Dhabi building a nuclear plant and Dubai undertaking a large coal-fired facility. Solar projects were also awarded at very competitive tariffs in 2016.
