Wood Mackenzie’s 2022 energy transition outlook: Highlights
Report summary
We are pleased to release highlights from our 2022 energy outlook. With the impact of lower investment in oil and gas production, post-Covid demand recovery, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, we are seeing a resetting of the energy transition agenda around the world. Europe is at the epicenter of these dynamics, but other issues ranging from technology development and supply chain risk to policy are changing rapidly – and opening up new opportunities. This outlook reflects Wood Mackenzie’s wholistic analysis of energy demand, supply investment across multiple scenarios, emerging decarbonization technologies and key energy policies around the world. Please reach out to our teams should you have questions or feedback.
