East-Med gas: from deficit to international trade
Report summary
The gas industry in the East-Med is continuing its swift transformation. Egypt's gas market could return to self-sufficiency this year, developers in Israel and Cyprus are successfully marketing stranded gas, and exploration continues to yield major gas discoveries. These events are changing the gas balance in the region and driving a shift from deficit, to self-sufficiency and potentially to regional and international trade. This presentation explores the shifting trade dynamics for gas from the East-Med and highlights key things to watch. It was presented at the 5th Eastern Mediterranean Gas Conference in Cyprus at the end of March 2018.
