Global gas markets long-term outlook H1 2020: LNG Supply
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The coronavirus has shaken-up our LNG supply outlook, both in the short-term and in the longer-term. In 2020, the low-price environment is reducing output from high cost producers, most notably in the US. But the coronavirus is also impacting our mid to longer-term LNG supply view, on operational, under construction and pre-FID projects. Yet, we still expect year-on-year growth to continue, with a CAGR of 4% between 2020 and 2030 and 3.4% between 2020 and 2040. Major new projects in Qatar, Mozambique, Russia and the US are still needed with growing LNG demand.
