Global LNG supply grew a record +39 Mt in 2019 (+12% y-o-y) plunging the market into oversupply. Growth in 2020 will slow to “only” +25 Mt (+7% y-o-y), but the year will be challenging for LNG suppliers as they battle low prices and weak demand. Offtakers and tollers in the US will face rising cash pressure in 2020. Two cargoes due for lifting in Q2 2020 were cancelled in February by Endesa – and further cancellations could materialise through the year. Some price response can also be expected at non-US suppliers. NEW! The main deliverable is now in a presentation format. It includes a global overview of LNG supply (global, regional, new projects, start-ups, delays, ramp-up, risks, changes) and a detailed plant outlook (seasonality, maintenance, outages, price response, ramp-up performance, risks).
