Commodity Market Report
North America gas weekly update: A delayed start to the winter
Report summary
Despite colder weather changes over the weekend, November is setting up to be much milder than normal. Accordingly, sustained storage withdrawals are delayed until Thanksgiving week. Henry Hub gas prices have found some support, nevertheless, as the withdrawal season should at least begin before December. That said, US gas production continues to surprise to the upside and may limit larger withdrawals from occurring. North America gas markets are asking: • HasFreeport LNG recovered from its early week hiccup? • How high will heating degree days increase in late November? • Where is US gas production rising?
