North America gas weekly update: LNG underperformance ending
Report summary
After a 10 day near-total outage, Freeport LNG is finally back in operation. Additionally, various concurrent train outages that pushed daily US LNG feedgas requirements to under 9 bcfd have ended. That said, seasonality due to maintenance, hurricane season, and hotter ambient temperatures will provide downside to LNG export utilization as we enter May. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • Where is US gas production underperforming and why? • How mild is the weather compared to seasonal norms? • Will weekly injections ramp up to triple digits?
