The current record June heat wave is limiting storage injections as power demand ramps up toward peak levels, despite less economic coal-to-gas displacement occurring. Down south, Mexico’s power demand is also very elevated and resulting in seasonal high US exports. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • How much are cooling degree days above normal? • Is LNG train maintenance continuing? • Has the start-up Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) brought incremental supplies to the market?
