Commodity Market Report
North America gas weekly update: Summer rally
Report summary
Increased power demand is shouldering Henry Hub gas prices and carrying it higher, despite the resumption of associated gas supply, particularly in the Permian, and another step down in LNG feed gas deliveries. Can power continue to carry the load? If forecasts hold, it will be the hottest July since 2011. But it doesn’t look like it’s getting any help from other aspects of the balances. If hot weather can’t hold, it will be a cold splash on the Henry Hub gas price rally.
