North America gas weekly update: The holiday effect
Report summary
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, warmer temperatures in the southern United States offset some late winter weather elsewhere in the country, which contributed to the overall modest weather-driven demand increase on the week. Additionally, US production continued its steady pace of recovery after mild freeze-offs earlier in November. Both sides of the supply-demand ledger are playing a role in the slow start to the withdrawal season. For the storage week ending November 29, Wood Mackenzie anticipates a moderate withdrawal of -14 bcf.
