Report summary
The UK gas market has very limited storage compared to other large gas markets in NW Europe, with 73% of it's working gas volume found in Centrica's Rough facility. The recent announcement by Centrica Storage Limited that there is a potential issue with well integrity at Rough could reduce the reservoir capacity by up to 1 bcm or 20% of total UK . Our initial review suggests that alternative supplies are available, providing limited upside to our winter 2015/2016 price view.
