Ukraine, the key transit route for Russian gas to Europe, is undergoing a political and territorial crisis. In 2013 53% (82 bcm) of Russia gas exports to Europe transited through Ukraine. In this insight, available to all Wood Mackenzie energy subscribers, we examine our forecast for Russian gas deliveries to Europe in 2014, and how any disruption to Russia gas supplies via Ukraine could impact the European gas market.
