Report summary
Al-Sheikh Sabah terminal is Jordan's sole LNG import facility, located 18 kilometres south of Aqaba in the Red Sea. The terminal began operations in May 2015 using the Energos Eskimo FSRU, which departed in June 2025. The facility now operates with the Energos Force FSRU under an Egypt-Jordan cooperation agreement, providing 750 mmcfd regasification capacity. Jordan plans to replace the FSRU with a permanent 720 mmcfd onshore terminal by Q2 2026.
