Energia Costa Azul LNG Phase 1 will be a single train LNG export facility located 19 miles north of Ensenada, Baja California. The project is being developed by Sempra Energy subsidiary, Sempra Infrastructure. The Phase 1 site is adjacent to the pre-existing Costa Azul LNG import facility and will utilise much of the existing infrastructure. An EPC contract was awarded to TechnipFMC in February 2020.
