India's first regas project on the east coast, located in the southern region the Ennore LNG terminal, was commissioned in March 2019 by Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL). IOCL took over as the sole project developer in 2010. After receiving the necessary land and environmental approvals, the IOCLs board approved the project in November 2014.
