Global gas & LNG weekly summary: 8 Dec 2022
Report summary
Weekly European LNG send-out and U.S. deliveries to Europe both hit record highs, but demand remains below normal despite cold December TTF’s premium over Northeast Asia increased down the curve this week, despite the news that China’s policy changes effectively meant an exit from the Covid-Zero policy that has been suppressing demand. TTF’s January contract was trading at $38 intraday on Thursday, a decrease WoW in volatile trading as the market tries to determine how much demand will come back in a cold December. LNG send-out hit a new record this week, and floating storage dropped again.
