Report summary
March TTF prices ended the week at around $8.9/mmbtu, a small decrease week on week. European gas prices remained at the bottom of the coal-to-gas switching range, maintaining the incentive for gas-fired generation. March Northeast Asian DES prices reduced by 40 cents to $9.2/mmbtu. In the US, March Henry Hub prices remained around $2/mmbtu, despite regional wintry weather in Southern California prompting the SoCal Citygate’s index up by 9.6 % on 5 February.
