Hitachi - LNG regas terminal
Report summary
In July 2012, Tokyo Gas began construction of an LNG terminal at Hitachi City in Ibaraki Prefecture, around 130 kilometres northeast of Tokyo. Operations started in December 2015. The facility supplies gas to the industrial sector in the Hitachi and Kanto regions. Development costs for the regasification terminal is estimated at around US$1 billion.
