Sabine Pass LNG Train 5 is part of a six-train LNG export development. Sabine Pass Liquefaction (SPL) operates the six trains as a single, integrated facility. The terminal is located on the Sabine Neches Waterway, in southwest Louisiana. Train 5 was initially scoped to have a nominal capacity of 4.5 mmtpa, but from 2018 to 2021, Cheniere gradually increased the adjusted nominal capacity of each of its trains to 4.9 - 5.1 mmtpa.
