In March 2019, New Fortress Energy (NFE) announced that its wholly-owned Puerto Rico subsidiary, NFEnergia LLC, had entered into a contract with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) for the supply of natural gas and conversion of Units 5 & 6 of PREPA's San Juan combined cycle power plant.
