Woodside acquires Scarborough stake from BHP – the future for NWS LNG?
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The deal gives Woodside a 2.6 Tcf net resource position in one of the few main backfill candidates for the North West Shelf LNG facility. With ullage forecast at NWS from 2021, a Scarborough development through NWS presents one of the lowest cost pre-FID LNG projects globally. However JV alignment challenges and competing backfill options remain.
