Colombia's peace deal finds its footing
Report summary
While the referendum in support of a peace accord with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia(FARC) failed in October, President Juan Manuel Santos has found an alternative path. A recent ruling by the country's constitutional court has lent further legitimacy to the process. The success of the peace agreement with Colombia's largest rebel group should help negotiations with the smaller National Liberation Front (ELN).
