Report summary

Abydos is a small, open-cut iron ore mine, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and owned by Atlas Iron.Total cash costs at Abydos have more than halved since 2013. The weaker Australian dollar, lower oil prices and collaboration agreement with its contract partners have all contributed to the decline. At a production rate of 3.5 Mpta, we expect its reserves to deplete in late 2017 and mining to cease permanently.
