Report summary
On Friday 10th April 2015, Atlas Iron announced it would cease all production and put its three operations into care and maintenance. At that time, the spot price of iron ore was US$48/tonne CFR, at this price we estimate that Atlas was losing around US$8.4/tonne after adjusting for freight, sustaining capital, interest, and its total cash costs.
