Report summary
Alufer Mining Ltd is pursuing Bel Air project located 200 km north of Conakry. The project occupies 824 ha over the life of mine with some areas still owned by local residents. The project also includes a 1.4 km long revetment (causeway), a mooring facility for transshipping barges and the extraction of some 1.2Mt of amour rock. The mooring facility includes a pre-cast block wall while the causeway will include a conveyor system. Initial production rate would be 5.5 Mtpa, ramping up to 10 Mtpa at a later date.
