Bintan alumina refinery
Report summary
Bintan Alumina is the second alumina refinery to produce metal grade alumina in Indonesia. It started construction in 2020 and produced its first product in 2021. Phase one targeted capacity of 1 Mtpa and phase two 2Mtpa. The refinery exported its first alumina shipment in July 2021. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce best in class industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the plant, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download, which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
