Bowdens zinc mine project
Report summary
The Bowdens deposit is expected to be mined using conventional open pit mining methods. Ore will be processed at a 2Mtpa conventional flotation processing plant. The final product will be a silver/lead concentrate and a zinc concentrate. The project is located 3km northeast of the village of Lue in New South Wales and 200km northwest of Sydney with access by paved road. A feasibility study was published in June 2018. Under this study, the project's life of mine is estimated at 16 years, with a 1.6 strip ratio and initial capital expenditure of A$246million. The project is expected to produce 52.9Moz of silver, 108kt of zinc and 79.26kt of lead.
