Broken Hill mine is an underground Pb-Zn-Ag operation mining high grade remnant lenses and pillars within the Southern Operations of the iconic Broken Hill deposit. The North Mine and Southern Operations of New Broken Hill Consolidated and ZC Mines were combined in 1988 into Pasminco. The North Mine operations were initially closed in March 1993, after operating since 1895, but were reopened by Perilya when it took over in 2002. Perilya was purchased by Zhongjin Lingnan in December 2013.
