Calipatria zinc smelter

The Calipatria zinc plant was a project intending to recover zinc from waste brine following the recovery of geothermal energy. The process was unique but difficulties in commissioning meant the operation was abandoned in 2004. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs.
