The Capela project includes an underground mine and a poly-metallic 4.5kt/d (1.48Mt/a) ore concentrator. It was expected to produce 40kt Zn, 8.6kt Pb, 7kt Cu and 4.7 million of ounces of silver. The started its commissioning stage in April 2020 processing 80kt of ore during that month. The mill reached 99% of its capacity by the end of 2020. There were delays due to the Corona Virus. Previous delays were due to security reasons being affected to the Guerrero state. The initial capital investment was estimated at US$303 million which includes a dry stacking section for the tailings.
