Caribou zinc mine
Report summary
In 2015, Trevali re-started the Caribou underground mine, mainly using existing infrastructure and the refurbished Caribou mill. The mine is wholly owned by trevali Mining Corporation and is located around 50km west of Bathurst in New Brunswick. The refurbished mill, with replacement SAG mill has a capacity of 3kt/d. In addition to the conventional lead and zinc flotation circuits that are already established, a new copper flotation circuit was constructed. The mine produces copper, lead and zinc concentrates.
