Report summary
Cerro Vanguardia is a gold-silver operation, in which silver is mined as a by-product. The mine operates multiple small open pits with high stripping ratios and narrow-vein underground mines. High grade ore is treated in conventional 1.2Mt/a plant, which includes a cyanide recovery facility, whilst the lower grade ore is heap leached. Production capacity of the heap leach facility is around 1.5Mt/a.
