Asset Report
Codli iron ore mine
Report summary
Codli is located in South Goa, approximately 50 kilometres south east of Panaji, Goa State, India. Codli is wholly owned by Vedanta Limited, which is majority owned by Vedanta Resources. In February 2018, it was announced that the licences and permits awarded in 2015 were deemed invalid by the Supreme Court and that mining must cease by 16 March 2018. It is unclear whether this mine will go up for auction. New environmental clearances will also be required and this has the potential to be a lengthy process. This report will not be updated unless mining recommences at this asset in Goa.
