Operated by Qinghai Chaidam Xinghua Lithium, Da Qaidam is a lithium brine operation located in Qinghai province, China. Da Qaidam Salt Lake is a typical sulphate-type salt lake with a low lithium concentration and high Mg/Li ratio. Xinghua Lithium utilises solvent extraction to produce technical-grade lithium carbonate. The company has plans to increase its output through the construction of a new 20ktpy lithium carbonate plant.
