Indo Gulf Fertilisers and Chemicals Corporation Limited, part of the Aditya Birla Group, have constructed an integrated smelter and refinery complex at Dahej, which is near Bharuch in Gujarat and about 300km north of Mumbai. The smelter uses an Outokumpu flash furnace and conventional Peirce Smith converter technology and the refinery uses the ISA process. The capacity of the complex is 100kt/a cathode.
