Dian Dian bauxite mine
Report summary
UC Rusal's Dian Dian project is located 250 km north Conakry, Guinea and consists of a bauxite mine and an alumina refinery. The company intends to supply bauxite within its own internal system and eventually replace the depleting Kindia mine. In order to be able to take the ore to the port, US Rusal signed a three-way agreement with CBG and GAC (owned by Emirates Global Aluminium) to share infrastructure, including the CBG-owned rail link to Kamsar.
