Western Areas is an Australian-based nickel miner listed on the ASX. The main asset is the 100% owned Forrestania Nickel Mine, located 400km east of Perth. The company produces around 25kt/a nickel in concentrate from a number of mines at Forrestania. The majority of this production has come from the Flying Fox and Spotted Quoll deposits with additional production planned to come from the Cosmic Boy, Diggers South and New Morning deposits.
