Fosterville gold mine

Report summary

Fosterville is an underground mining operation near Bendigo, Victoria.  The mine is 100% owned by Canadian company Kirkland Gold Corporation. Access to the underground mine is via two declines with the portals in the base of Falcon and Ellesmere pit. Cut and fill method was used in relatively narrow Falcon ore zone, with the larger Phoenix zone being mined by Avoca long hole open stoping method.
