The Glogow II refinery was commissioned as a state enterprise in 1978 with a capacity of 180kt/a cathode to treat anodes from the Glogow II smelter commissioned at the same time. It is located at Glogow, approximately 100km south-west of Poznan. The refinery has 192 starting sheet cells, roughly double the number required for typical production levels.
