Report summary
The Harita Group's Megah Surya Pertiwi smelter in Indonesia utilises rotary kiln submerged arc furnace (RK-SAF) technology with a gross annual capacity of 240kt of nickel pig iron (NPI). The operation consists of four lines requiring 120MW of power. In June 2015, the Harita Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its smelter project. Production began on 9 October, 2016 in North Maluku, Indonesia.
