Asset Report
Hemlo gold mine
Report summary
The property comprises the Williams open-pit and underground mine, Golden Giant and the David Bell underground mines, all located within the Hemlo gold camp. All three mines work different parts of the same ore-body. Ore is processed in a 3.5Mt/a mill with a carbon in pulp (CIP) circuit. The life of mine plan is made up of the Williams underground mine. A feasibility study was underway to confirm the viability of the Phase 6 extension of the open pit, which would have entailed a 60m layback to the north wall. However, it has been determined that this will no longer proceed and open pit operations ceased in H2 2020.
