Report summary
Karora acquired the Higginsville Gold Operation (HGO) from Westgold Resources on June 10, 2019, which also comprised a 1.4Mtpa gold treatment plant. The company's strategy was to combine HGO with its existing Beta Hunt UG Mine and process ore from both operations at the Higginsville Mill. The mill is currently fed by material from the Beta Hunt Mine and the Higginsville mining operations including Spargo's Gold Mine, which was brought into production in late 2021. The Higginsville mill's capacity was expanded to 1.6Mtpa in December 2021 and the Company also acquired the 1Mtpa Lakewood mill in July 2022.
