Report summary

The smelter at Hobart in Tasmania produces zinc using the roast leach electrowin technology. The leach residue is processed using the Para Goethite process and the final residue sent for processing to the Port Pirie smelter in Australia. The capacity of the smelter is 280kt/a slab zinc and there are no plans to increase this.
