Huludao Smelter was constructed by Huludao Orient Copper Co., Ltd. in 1992 and commissioned in 1994 employing oxygen enrichment airtight blast furnace with a nominal capacity of 60kt/a copper from concentrates purchased from domestic and overseas market. The by-product, sulphuric acid capacity was 210 kt/a. The Smelter obtained ISO 9002 registration in May, 2000.
