Jinshan zinc smelter

Report summary

The Jinshan smelter was commissioned in 2010 with a capacity of 60kt/a. Unlike many Chinese smelters, Jinshan uses mainly low grade oxide ore, from its mine at Dachang, and purchased calcine (currently 70% of the feed) as the raw materials to make slab zinc. The flowsheet features two leaching and purification lines, a 40kt/a line used for purchased calcine and a 20kt/a for processing oxide ores.
