Report summary

Western Australian gold mines are subject to a 1.25% state royalty from mid 1998. The royalty will increase to 2.5% from mid 2000 providing the gold price is greater than A$450/oz. Situated along the Golden Mile in the town of Kalgoorlie the mining complex consists of two mines (Fimiston "Super Pit" and Mount Charlotte underground).
