Report summary
The refinery is located at Khetri, Rajasthan, 180km southwest of Delhi. Anodes are provided by the adjacent Khetri smelter. The refinery was commissioned in 1974 with the current capacity of 31kt/a. This capacity is obtained from 440 cells, 33 of which are used for starting sheets, at a current density of 200A/m2. The operation is labour intensive with little automation of materials handling.
